When the Huntington Beach homeowners came to RIA Group, they had a large backyard with tremendous potential and no clear way to unlock it. They wanted a pool — but more than that, they wanted an outdoor environment that would genuinely change how they lived in their home. A place to swim, to entertain, to sit outside with a drink in the evening, to host friends on weekends. A backyard that earns its square footage every single day.

That vision shaped every decision in this project. The pool itself is a generous freeform design — organic edges that feel natural against the mature trees that frame this property — with an attached spa for year-round enjoyment and a sun shelf at the pool's edge where you can stretch out and cool down without fully getting in. The pool deck surrounds it cleanly in large-format concrete, providing level transitions between the pool, the lawn, and the multi-level deck above.

The deck is where this project separates itself from a standard pool addition. Elevated above the pool level with clean railings and an aluminum pergola structure fitted with string lights, it creates a fully defined outdoor living zone — a dining area, a lounge section, and a built-in outdoor bar and grill island where the homeowners can cook and entertain without ever going back inside. It's the kind of outdoor setup that gets used every week, not just on special occasions.
