The Kitchen - Built Around the Backsplash
The bold blue and white Talavera-style tile backsplash sets the tone for the entire space. Everything else was designed to complement it: white shaker cabinets that let the tile breathe, a warm natural wood island that grounds the room, white quartz countertops, and premium stainless appliances that disappear into the design. Lantern pendant lighting and a custom wood range hood complete the look.
OPEN CONCEPT DONE RIGHT
The kitchen and living room flow into one another seamlessly. Soaring exposed beam ceilings run throughout, the flooring is continuous, and the sightlines are clear from the front door to the back windows. This is what open-concept is supposed to feel like not just walls removed, but a space purposefully designed to live as one.
The living room received the same level of attention: custom built-in shelving, a fireplace surround, statement lighting, and finishes that tie directly back to the kitchen. The dining area sits naturally between the two spaces, anchored by an oval table and blue accent chairs that pull color from the backsplash tile.
